Rev. Fr. Dr. Jose Thachil started St.Judes School in 1982. Nineteen eighties was a nightmare for people to live around the area Karanakodam and Kathrikadavu. People got scared even to move around during day time, an abode of criminals and underworld activities. The area was water logged undeveloped for any person to lead a normal life, backward in all respects, educationally, hygienically and morally. It is at this juncture Rev. Fr. Dr. Jose Thachil appeared in the form of a social reformer and a good shepherd. He was a powerful tool in the hands of God, kindled a small lamp that rekindled the society we are indebted to that noble soul of Rev. Fr, Dr. Jose Thachil who departed from us on 25th August 1989 leaving spectacular memories that enhanced the value system of society.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Jose Thachil had got permission from cardinal Joseph Parecattil to bring sisters of Sacred Heart from Kothamangalam to give the responsibility to run the school for academic efficiency. Rev. Sr. Anis Mattappilly was the first Headmistress(1982-1983).
Primary section was started in 1983, Std 1 got recognition in 1985 class 2 and 3 in 1987, U.P. and H.S. in 1995 and H.S.S. in 2002.
